The gravity failed during lunch.
Ramen cups spun like tiny moons. Noodles unspooled into golden tornadoes and, for reasons no physicist would claim, two of them curled into hearts. Jun-ho screamed first. The broth had already found his hoodie. Beside him, Captain Yuna’s purple hair haloed in every direction as she grabbed for a floating fork that no longer believed in down.
A cockroach paddled past, serene. In the corner, the station’s octopus mechanic blinked all eight eyes and muttered, “I told you not to microwave the emergency rations.”
Jun-ho reached for Yuna’s glove. Missed. Caught a noodle instead.
“New law of physics,” he gasped. “Whatever can go wrong will orbit you personally.”
The hearts drifted on, steaming, as if the universe had a sense of humor after all.
