Main Lead Amnesia

The shared past is cleared so care must be proven again in the present. Memory loss resets the board, and later motives must answer a bond that has to be rebuilt without the original souvenirs.
Why it works
Removing the lead’s relevant history forces affection, trust, and choice to be performed now rather than referenced from before. The person who remembers must decide whether to rebuild, conceal, or release; the person who does not must respond to care that arrives without context. Public knowledge of the blank rewrites status and obligation for everyone who knew the earlier version. Private management turns ordinary rooms into sites of uneven knowledge. True motives surface in what is restored, withheld, or newly offered; intrigue, coordinated disguise of the past, favor given as patient rebuilding, intimidation that no longer lands, and assassination plans altered by missing recognition all become practical around the gap.
Situations it is used in
- Public blank: hospitals, family gatherings, or workplaces where the loss is known and claims must be adjusted
- Private blank: closed rooms in which one person still carries the history and the other meets only the current hour
- Intrigue advanced by secrets the amnesiac no longer guards or by lies that become easier to maintain
- Disguise of the past maintained by those who remember and choose what not to restore
- Favor given as rebuilding rather than reminder
- Intimidation weakened or redirected when the target no longer recalls the reason
- Assassination or threat timing changed by erased motive and erased recognition
- Male and female leads: both fully common
- The interval of re-choosing in which old evidence is set aside and new evidence must be made
- Later restoration so the blank period can be reread as the second first meeting
Soft reading
Soft: choosing someone again can still be a second first love. Care without souvenirs is not automatically counterfeit.
Mirror reading
Mirror: scheduled wipe. The amnesia is the reset button that clears inconvenient history so the bond can be rebought under present-tense conditions.
Regional flavor
- Korea: K: industrial-strength accident and hospital form. Memory loss regularly clears the board so care must be proven again in real time. Soft treats the rebuilding as costly sincerity. Mirror notes how efficiently the device supplies both tragic stakes and a clean romantic restart.
- China: C: frequent curse, heavenly punishment, or reincarnation-adjacent wipes. The blank can carry fate weight; restoration often rewrites more than personal history. Soft honors the choice to remain kind to a person who no longer holds the prior debt or bond. Mirror points at how often the emotional engine uses the erasure to delay or purify recognition.
- Japan: J: softer psychological or partial blanks. Full convenient wipes are less often the central engine; gaps tend to stay ambiguous or trauma-tied. Soft still reads the careful re-approach as meaningful. Mirror notes that the relative restraint already marks when a story is borrowing the more total East Asian amnesia-reset grammar.
